In the long history of the tournament, many later world-class players gained their first international tennis experience at the Tennis Youngest Cup. Not only Steffi Graf and Boris Becker drew attention here, also Anke Huber (1985-1988), Patrik Kühnen (1979, 1980), Tommy Haas (1989, 1990) and Barbara Rittner (1984-1987) were there. Wimbledon winner Goran Ivanisevic (participation 1982-1984) as well as Guillermo Coria (1995, winner 1996) or David Nalbandian (1995, 1996), both of whom advanced to third place in the ATP world rankings, also served here.

Many current top 20 players also competed in the international junior tournament: the French Open finalist from 2009, Robin Söderling (participation in 1998) started here, as did Jürgen Melzer (1995), Stanislas Wawrinka (1999) and the US Open -Winner of 2009, Juan Martin del Porto (2001, 2002). Among the women, two of the top players in the world rankings in recent years were active as players in the Youngest Cup: Maria Sharapova (2000) and Jelena Jankovic (1998)

For many German tennis talents their careers began here: The currently best Germans were already on the pitch in Brühl or Cologne: Florian Meyer (1995, 1997); Philipp Kohlschreiber (1997), Wimbledon winner in doubles, Philipp Petzschner (winner: 1996, 1998) and also Tatjana Malek (winner U12 1999, 2001), Anna-Lena Grönefeld (1997, 1998), Andrea Petkovic (2001) and Sabine Lisicki (2000, 2002).
